BCPPC Credential Renewal Notice
The ongoing mission of the BCPPC is to serve Christian counselors through credentialing. Renewing credentials with the International Board for Certified Counselors (IBCC) is essential because it protects the integrity of the profession, demonstrates ongoing competence, and safeguards the public. Regular renewal ensures that board-certified counselors remain current with evolving ethical standards, evidence-based practices, and regulatory expectations in their areas of specialization. Maintaining an active credential also signals to employers, referral sources, and clients that the counselor is committed to lifelong learning and accountable practice, which can enhance professional credibility and marketability. Finally, consistent renewal supports the broader regulatory framework by helping credentialing bodies monitor adherence to continuing education and conduct requirements, thereby strengthening public trust in certified professionals.

BCBC:  

  1. 20 Continuing education credits approved through the IBCC or an approved provider of IBCC CE credits. You must upload your certificates in the renewal application.  
  2. Certificates must be counseling or mental health related 
  3. Coaching certificates will not be accepted  
  4. Provide information about the ministry and supervisor.  

 

BCPC:  

  1. 20 Continuing education credits approved through the IBCC or an approved provider of IBCC CE credits. You must upload your certificates in the renewal application.  
  2. Certificates must be counseling or mental health related 
  3. Coaching certificates will not be accepted  
  4. Provide information about the ministry and supervisor.  
  5. Provide documentation of ordination.  

 

BCCC:  

  1. 20 Continuing education credits approved through the IBCC or an approved provider of IBCC CE credits. You must upload your certificates in the renewal application.  
  2. Certificates must be counseling or mental health related 
  3. Coaching certificates will not be accepted  
  4. Answer the questions for the various options of how you practice. Please review these options in the requirements for a BCCC on this webpage: https://www.ibccglobal.com/bcppc/requirements/ 

 

BCPCC:  

  1. 20 Continuing education credits approved through the IBCC or an approved provider of IBCC CE credits. You must upload your certificates in the renewal application.  
  2. Certificates must be counseling or mental health related 
  3. Coaching certificates will not be accepted  
  4. Upload current license information.  

 

 

Instructions:  

  1. Utilize the online renewal application form that corresponds with your current credential.  
  2. Upload all required documentation and answer all the questions 
  3. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access and submit your Credential Fee payment ($149). When this is completed, your digital credential will be sent to you in your email.  

 

 

If you wish to have a printed copy of your credential and a credential ID card, you may request it for an additional fee.
