The BCLC is charged with becoming financially self-sufficient, as well as keeping costs for credential holders as low as possible. The BCLC must therefore rely on credentialing fees to cover its operating, consulting, research, and advocacy/defense missions. Even so, the following fees are substantially less than comparable national certification groups. Annual fees for both BCLC and AACC membership are less than the cost of most other professional association fees without a national credential.
The goal of the BCLC is to create a truly comprehensive Christian care network that integrates the entire continuum of counseling services and ministries, from professional practitioners to those individuals who provide lay helping such as support group resources, mentoring, mediation, and life coaching.

BCLC Specialty Credentials are a one‑time credential that does not expire; however, IBCC may, in its sole discretion, establish renewal or recertification requirements for this and other IBCC credentials at any time. Such requirements may include, without limitation, continuing education, supervision, practice hours, adherence to professional and ethical standards, and payment of applicable fees. IBCC further reserves the right to modify, suspend, or revoke any credential that is not renewed in accordance with the then‑current policies and procedures, as may be amended from time to time. Credential holders will be provided notice of any material changes to renewal or recertification requirements through such means as IBCC deems appropriate, and continued holding or use of the credential after the effective date of such changes shall constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
Please Note: $50.00 of the application fee is non-refundable once the application packet has been received by the BCLC. This to cover administrative costs in the event an applicant is not awarded the credential he/she is applying for or when a request is made to stop the credentialing process and a refund is issued.
If an individual allows for their base credential to lapse after the 6 month grace period, the individual will need to reapply and pay the application fee.
